 How to make Momos or Dim Sum at home ?

Here is an easy way to make a delicious momos at home :-

Ingredients for Veg-momos

  • For dough
  1. 2 cup maida
  2. 1/2 tablespoon of salt
  3. 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
  • For filling
  1. 1 cup Carrot, grated

  2. 1 tsp Garlic, chopped

  3. 1/2 cup Onion, finely chopped

  4. 1 cup Cabbage, grated

  5. 1 tbsp Oil

  6. 1 tsp Soya sauce

  7. to taste Salt

  8. 1/4 tsp Vinegar

Steps for making momos


  1. Mix maida, salt, baking powder and water to make a stiff dough.

  2. Heat oil and add onion and garlic in it saute over high heat and add carrot and cabbage cook on high heat till glossy.

  3. Take off the heat and add the soya sauce, salt, and vinegar in it.

  4. Roll the dough thin (translucent) and cut into 4"-5" rounds.

  5. Take a piece of dough , make edges wet then add filling in it.

  6. seal the edges to cover the filling twist at the end ,fill the rest in the same way.

  7. Steam for about 10 to 15 minutes and serve with soya sauce, chilli sauce and mayonnaise.
