Recipe For Dhokla

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 tsp minced green chili
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 cup urad dal flour
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1/2 water
  • 1 tsp eno
  • Salt as per taste
For liquid 
  • 2 to 3 green chillies
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
Method of making Dhokla
  1. Mix urad dal or rice flour
  2. Add curd, ginger, chilies and some salt (according to your taste) and mix well.
  3. Pour water and make a thick batter.
  4. Once the batter is ready add eno in it and again mix well.
  5. now. grease the bowl or  plate with some oil or butter and pour all the batter in it.
  6. Get the pot ready with water in it and get it ready to steam the batter plate. 
  7. Once the steam is coming out then carefully  put the dhokla batter inside it and steam for 15 minutes. 
  8. after 15 minutes check the dhokla with knife as it is properly cooked or not.
  9. once it is cooked , let it cool.
  10. Now make the liquid , take a pan put in oil and mustard seeds ,when the seeds start popping now add green chillies and sugar add then add some water in it & cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  11. Add a layer of liquid on the cooked dhokla and then cut it into squares.  
  12. Now your dhokla is ready enjoy it .
You can enjoy your hot dhokla also it is taste good when it is cold .So you can enjoy it in any manner.
